Combining science fiction, steampunk, and nautical adventure, Forget Rome relates the desperate mission of the steam-powered sailing frigate Warsong to return its priceless cargo home to safety. In the aftermath of the attack, civilization has regressed worldwide, and the brooding captain of the Warsong remembers with regret the life of ease and plenty that he led before New Marlborough was changed forever.
